We are seeking to hire an exceptional candidate to join Honours Academy as an English Teacher, but the requisite skills are more akin to those of a great mentor and coach. Academic qualifications are only the beginning. We care equally about the candidate’s ability to engage a classroom with personality, charisma, and humor. We provide extensive training on classroom management and have a continuous feedback loop for self-improvement. Compensation is performance-based, with the ability to earn substantially above comparable positions for top performers. We utilize real-world applications to teach our students to be critical thinkers, readers, and writers in both general and business contexts. Our inspiration is to develop them beyond just the classroom.

Qualifications

- Excellent spoken and written English (native speaker or fluent with standard pronunciation)

- Graduate of a reputable university with strong academic performance

- Demonstrated drive, self-starter, hard-working, self‐aware, and hungry to learn

- Passionate about positively affecting, influencing, and motivating others

- Strong desire to make an impact in business and education in Azerbaijan

- Good understanding of business language, practices, and settings 3-4 years of previous corporate work experience in any discipline is preferred, but not required

- Prior corporate teaching or training experience is preferred, but not required
